Dr. Christine Raouf George Mikhail is a distinguished oral medicine specialist and academician with extensive clinical, teaching, and research expertise in oral diagnosis, oral medicine, special care dentistry, and hospital dentistry. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Oral Medicine and Diagnosis at the Faculty of Dentistry, Fayoum University, Egypt, and is also affiliated with the Faculty of Dental Medicine, King Salman International University.

Dr. Mikhail is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate dental education, clinical supervision, problem-based learning, and community-based learning programs. Her clinical experience spans public health centers, hospital dentistry, and private dental practice, with particular expertise in the diagnosis and management of oral mucosal disorders, temporomandibular joint diseases, myofascial pain dysfunction syndrome, and the oral healthcare of medically compromised and special care patients.

Her research interests align closely with the scope of the Journal of Dental Health and Oral Research and include oral medicine and diagnosis, oral–systemic health relationships, infectious diseases affecting oral health, oral manifestations of systemic conditions, psychoneuro-oral health, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Dr. Mikhail has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications in reputable international journals, including Scientific Reports (Nature Portfolio), BMC Oral Health, and the Journal of Cancer Research and Clinical Oncology. Her research portfolio includes randomized controlled clinical trials, cohort studies, and cross-sectional investigations addressing both clinical and public health aspects of dental and oral healthcare.

In addition to her scholarly contributions, Dr. Mikhail is an active peer reviewer for several international journals, including Springer Nature titles, and has received Certificates of Excellence in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the peer-review process.
