Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Dermatology Research undergo an initial editorial screening to assess scope, originality, and ethical compliance.

Manuscripts passing this stage are subjected to a double-blind peer review by at least two independent experts in the relevant field.

Editorial decisions are based solely on scholarly merit, reviewer recommendations, and ethical considerations.

All submitted manuscripts, reviewer reports, and editorial communications are treated as confidential. Peer review is conducted in accordance with the ethical standards and best-practice guidance of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Publication Ethics

The journal aligns its editorial and publishing practices with the principles and guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

The journal has clear policies for handling allegations of misconduct, plagiarism, data fabrication, conflicts of interest, corrections, and retractions.

Indexing and Discoverability

All published articles are assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) through Crossref.

Articles are discoverable through scholarly search engines and academic discovery platforms such as Google Scholar, Semantic Scholar, Scilit, and ScienceOpen.

PubMed Central (article-level, conditional):
In accordance with the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) Public Access Policy, authors of NIH-funded research may deposit the final peer-reviewed manuscript of their article in PubMed Central (PMC).
