Biography: Dr Safi Khuri, Editor-In-Chief, Journal of Surgery Research and Practice

Dr. Safi Khuri is the director of the Pancreas Surgery service and a consultant surgeon at the Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) and surgical oncology unit, Rambam Health Care Campus, Haifa, Israel.
Between the years 2012-2018 he completed a general surgery residency with high honors at Rambam Hospital and then worked as a senior physician at the HPB and surgical oncology unit for about 4 years. In 2022 he underwent clinical training in surgery of the pancreas and biliary tract with an emphasis on complex operations for chronic pancreatitis and malignant/benign tumors of the pancreas at Eppendorf University Hospital, Hamburg, Germany. Dr. Khuri reviews articles for a number of surgical journals in the field of oncological surgery, pancreatic surgery and emergency surgery. He is also a member of the Israeli Association of Surgeons, the Israeli Society for Surgery of the Liver, Pancreas and Biliary Tracts as well as the European Pancreatic Club.

I would like to thank Athenaeum Scientific Publishers for the opportunity to serve as the Editor in Chief of the Journal . In my role as the Editor-in-Chief, I will work diligently to assist in defining and adjusting the journals mission and to adapt to the evolving needs of the readership. I will accomplish this by consultation with other contributing members of the journal’s editorial board.
